The PST file of
your email account configured in Outlook consists of mailbox items and this
file is stored on your local hard drive. That means the PST file contains your
emails, contacts, and other valuable information of your mailbox in your
system. Therefore, for its security, Outlook provides the feature to
password-protect it. When you password-protect your PST file, you have to
provide the password every time you run Outlook. Therefore, for the security of
your data, it is recommended to password protect your PST file. However, you
