Outlook 2007 is one among
the advanced versions of Outlook as it has size benefit to save PST
file up to 20 GB. But sometimes due to the growing size of PST file
it may lead to oversize of the PST file and which can finally corrupt
your PST file.
Sometimes while working
on Outlook you may encounter errors such as “Outlook is not
responding” or Outlook has freeze or stops working while
opening any file or sending any mail. The reasons behind this error
can be:
- If the latest updates are not installed.
- Outlook may be in use by another process.
- Your mailbox size is too large.
- Outlook has been corrupted.
Among these reasons the
most common reason behind this issue is corruption of the PST file.
Hence to avoid such issues of Outlook you need to take some
preliminary steps so that your Outlook remains protected. One
efficient way could be splitting the PST files into different
folders. You can archive your PST file to a different location.
You can follow these
steps to archive your PST files such as:
- In Outlook 2007, select your PST file from the navigation pane.
- On the file menu click Archive.
- In the archive folder box select a folder from the list.
- Specify the path and a file name for the new .pst file, and then click OK.
In this way you can
archive your PST file to protect your Outlook. But this method is not
much effective because it does not guarantees that this may resolve
the issue of large sized PST files.
The best way
to split your PST file can be through a Split PST Software. There is
efficient Split PST Software which splits the PST file on the basis
of some criteria such as date, size, email id etc. This software also
splits the PST file on the basis of priority provided. The most
efficient feature of this tool is that this software splits the file
various location and does not make any change in the original format
of the file. After the Split process this tool generates a log report
of the entire process.
Hence with these many
outstanding features there is no need to search for any other tool to
recover the issue of your freeze Outlook.
