In Outlook 2002 and its earlier version which uses ANSI(American
National Standards Institute) format which has PST file
limitation up to 2GB . So in this case if the file size of the
Outlook tends to exceed this limit then there is a chance of PST
corruption.

In later versions of Outlook 2003 and 2007 has PST file limitation
up to 20 GB where as in case of Outlook 2010 it has PST file
limitation up to 50 GB. Still there are chances of PST file
corruption because of the heavy and large size of the files. We do
not usually notice the size the size of the Outlook because of it
large storage size but this becomes the main reason for corruption
of the file.

corruption becomes a big trouble for the Outlook users who use
Outlook in their regular basis work. One of the solutions for this
problem is to compact the PST file. This operation can be done in
